Peer Support Basic Course

This three (3) day course designed as a skills building module for the new military peer support team member(s). The course provides a comprehensive review of peer support best practices along with in-depth discussions on some of the new concepts in military stress and critical incident management. The course is presented from the military peer support specialist’s perspective via interactive discussion, practical exercises and specific case studies examining real challenges peer supporters have faced. Our instructors have extensive experience in the disciplines of trauma recovery, program building, and military stress management. They also have many years of experience conducting military training courses across the country. This is a great opportunity to learn new and best practices of contemporary military peer support.

Peer Support Advanced Course

This course is designed as a skills building module for the experienced military peer support specialists and team member(s). The course will provide a comprehensive review of peer to peer support practices along with in-depth discussions on some of the newer intervention and treatment concepts as well as programs in the critical incident management area. Best practices will be discussed along with case studies and each participant is encouraged to bring a difficult or challenging case study for group discussion and analysis.

Peer Support Update Course

This is a one (1) day course designed as a skills building module for veteran military peer supporters. The course provides a comprehensive review of trauma support best practices along with training on new concepts in critical incident stress management and counseling. The topics in this course are presented from the veteran peer support specialist’s perspective via interactive discussion, practical exercises, and specific case studies examining real challenges law enforcement peers face. Our experienced instructors have knowledge and many years of practice across the country in the very relevant disciplines of trauma recovery, program building, military stress, critical incident management, critical incident counseling and military leadership counseling. This course provides a great opportunity to learn new and best practices of contemporary military trauma support.

Peer Support & Family Support Coordinators Workshop

This is a one (1) day course designed as a skills building module for Military Peer Support, Family Support Coordinators and/or experienced team members. The course provides a comprehensive review of military peer support best practices along with in-depth discussions on some of the newer theories and programs in critical incident management. The course is presented from peer support specialists who are well-practiced in the techniques of contemporary career and family survival.

How to Successfully Retire From The Military

This half day workshop is designed for the military professional planning to retire or who has already retired from service and continues to struggle with the decision. The workshop provides a comprehensive review of retirement best practices based on research conducted on retiring and retired military professionals. In this training and development course you learn how to build your next “life mission” with purpose and direction.  You also learn how to design your own retirement goals as well as how to make  a good wellness plan. The course is presented via interactive discussion, practical exercises and specific case studies examining real challenges military retirees have faced. Our experienced instructors have extensive knowledge in military stress and have practiced in the disciplines of trauma recovery, and program building across the country.
