Executive & Manager Critical Incident Response Workshop
Disasters and emergency can occur at anytime and anywhere. So when they occur, it is important to be prepared and have your Response Team prepared as well. As an Executive you will go through critical incident training, and in turn be evaluated on your preparedness and your response to the critical incident. This course is designed to both refresh and train Executives and Managers on the aspects of emergency critical incident management and to provide them the tools that will enable them to manage a variety of emergency events. The participants will study case studies and participate in practical exercises that will allow them to apply the principles taught in class.
Peer Support Basic Course
This three (3) day peer support training course is designed as a skills building module for new peer support team member(s). The course provides a comprehensive review of peer support best practices along with in-depth discussions on some of the new concepts in this critical area. The course is presented from the practitioner’s perspective through interactive discussion, practical exercises and specific case studies examining real challenges peer support specialists have faced. Our experienced instructors have extensive knowledge in the very relevant disciplines of trauma recovery, and program building. They also have many years of experience across the country and internationally conducting and participating in critical incident stress management courses, training and development courses, as well as peer support specialist training. This course is a great opportunity to learn new and best practices of contemporary peer support.
Peer Support Advanced Course
This one (1) day course is designed as a skills building module for experienced peer support team member(s). The course provides a comprehensive review of peer support practices along with in-depth discussions on some of the newer intervention and treatment concepts and programs in this critical area. Best practices are discussed along with case studies and each participant is encouraged to bring a difficult or challenging case study for group discussion and analysis.
Peer Support Update Course
This one (1) day course is designed as a skills building module for the veteran law enforcement peer support specialists. The course provides a comprehensive review of trauma support best practices along with training on new concepts in this critical area. The course is presented from the veteran peer supporter’s perspective, using interactive discussion, practical exercises, and specific case studies examining real challenges law enforcement peers face. Our experienced instructors have extensive knowledge in the very relevant disciplines of trauma recovery and program building, as well as many years of experience in conducting training and development courses across the country. This is a great opportunity to learn new and best practices of contemporary trauma support.
Conflict Resolution, Avoidance, & Mediation Course
This three (3) to five (5) day course is designed to increase knowledge of conflict resolution, avoidance and mediation techniques through conflict mediation and training senarios. The course is based on the Dialog for Peaceful Change process that was developed in Northern Ireland to build and develop community and organizational relationships so as to prevent and resolve conflict after 25 years of civil war. To win peace at the neighbourhood and community level by educating community members on the dynamics of conflict, building trust through common goals, and maintaining a peaceful dialog to resolve issues of conflict. This training is offered in locations around the globe.
Executive Coaching Service
Executive coaching is a specialized form of consulting that aims to help executives develop needed leadership skills, such as the art of influence, and the ability to delegate and groom successors. Executives are often promoted from positions where they performed well but did not necessarily use or develop the higher level leadership skills that are now required. Executive coaches work one-on-one with executives to help them develop their skills and enhance their careers.
