We modeled what we considered general best practices, and added specifics regarding our department ... moreEnjoyed a successful week of peer support training during the week of October 24th-28th. This was the Austin Police Depts. first in-house training class. We modeled what we considered general best practices, and added specifics regarding our department and area agencies...basically tailoring programs to fit. It was a long eight months of preparation for the class, but a fast week of instruction.
All of the critiques were fantastic, and although it ran relatively smooth, there is always room for improvement! All in all, I was very pleased.
Our next challenge is taking a good class and making it better. less
